Tic-tac-toe
Name footballers who fit the row and the column and get three in a row.
A 3×3 grid with a condition on every row and every column: a club, a country, a league, winning the Champions League or the Ballon d'Or, playing at a World Cup… To take a cell you have to name a footballer who meets both. You all play at once: whoever says it first takes it.
Whoever gets three in a row wins. Each footballer can only be used once, and naming one who doesn't fit freezes you for a few seconds. You can play 1 vs 1, with three or four players, in pairs (2 vs 2), against bots of four levels or in a private room with your friends.
How to play
- Every row and column asks for something: playing for a club or in a league, being from a country, winning a trophy or an award… To take a square, name a footballer who fits both (reserve teams don't count as the club).
- «… winner» means being at the winning club the season of the final; «Coached by…», being at a club at the same time as him.
- It's turn-based, like classic tic-tac-toe: on your turn (30 s) pick a square and name a footballer.
- Three in a row wins (+5). If nobody gets one, most squares wins.
- Each footballer counts once. Name one that doesn't fit or run out of time and you lose your turn.
- In the daily challenge you play alone: fill the whole grid as fast as you can.
- In 2 vs 2, partners add up their points: red and yellow against blue and green.
Tips
- The centre is in four lines: it's the most valuable square.
- If a rival has two in a row, take the third.
- Journeymen are gold: think of players who moved around a lot.
- Start with the hardest square: the easy ones won't get away.
