General Top 10
Countries, mountains, rivers, islands… Guess the 10 on the list before you miss three times.
A general knowledge list appears: the 10 most populous countries, the 10 largest islands, the 10 largest moons in the solar system… Type answers: if it's on the list, it appears in its place with its figure; if not, it's a miss. Three misses and it's over.
You all play at the same time with the same list, each on your own: whoever gets the most right wins. You can play 1 vs 1, with three or four players, in pairs (2 vs 2), against bots of four levels or in a private room with your friends.
How to play
- A list of 10 on general knowledge appears (countries, mountains, rivers, lakes, islands, moons, Spanish regions and provinces…), the same for everyone.
- Type answers: if it's on the list, it appears in its spot with its figure; if not, it's a miss.
- 3 misses end your list (5 on easy, 2 on hard). It also ends when you complete it.
- Each hit is worth 10 points (15 for number 1) and completing the list 20 more. Most hits wins; if tied, whoever got there first.
- You see which spots your rivals get (a dot in their colour, no name) and their misses. Hints show the figure and the start of a missing one.
- In teams, each team fills a single list: what one of you gets, you all get, and misses are shared too.
- Every list is checked by hand (against Wikipedia, the UN or Spain's INE). If you spot a wrong fact, let us know at the end.
Tips
- Start with the obvious ones: number 1 is usually the best known.
- Think of every continent: the lists mix places from all over.
- If you're unsure, save your misses: three and you're out.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
Each list comes from a single source and is checked by hand: usually Wikipedia's tables, and the UN for world population.
Why is one country ahead of another?
Because of that source's figure. When sources disagree on the order, we don't make the list.
Is there a daily challenge?
Yes: the same list for everyone, once a day.
